ABOUT By Renee J.Renee Johnson is a New Orleans-based fashion designer and creative director with a focus on futurism, wearable technology, and culturally centered projects. She is considered a modiste; a designer of couture gowns and also freelances as a costume designer. Her work is considered visual storytelling that uses fashion to create alternate realities and timeline variations.

PHILOSOPHYRenee believes experimentation within fashion is the most effective way to move fashion forward. She is interested in preserving the traditional aspects of New Orleans fashion culture; but is also excited about contributing to its evolution using technology to merge the ideas of today with tomorrow. Using fashion forecasting and forward projection techniques, Renee hopes to create concepts that will become cultural staples in the fashion, traditions and archived history of New Orleans.
